After five unforgettable weeks, England’s World Cup journey has come to an end, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who chose Poolfoot Farm to watch it with us.
Across the tournament, more than 5,000 supporters came through our doors to back the Three Lions. Whether you joined us for one game or every single one, you helped create an atmosphere that got bigger and better as England progressed.
It all started with the group stage, as fans gathered to watch England take on Panama, Ghana and Croatia, before attention turned to the knockout rounds.
The Round of 32 clash with DR Congo brought another brilliant turnout for the 5pm kick-off, while the dedication of England supporters was on full display for the Round of 16, with hundreds staying up to watch the 1am victory over Mexico together.
As England reached the latter stages, so did the crowds.
Our biggest Outdoor Fanzone to date welcomed supporters for the dramatic quarter-final win over Norway, and just four days later we expanded it even further for the semi-final against Argentina. It was our biggest World Cup event yet and a fantastic way to bring people together for another huge night supporting England.
From the fans singing before kick-off, to the celebrations after every England goal, and everyone who stayed behind to soak up the atmosphere after the final whistle, it’s been a tournament we’ll remember for a long time.
A huge thank you also goes to everyone behind the scenes who made the events possible, from our staff and security teams to DJ Wayne Bibby, who helped get the atmosphere going before every big game.
